Tattle Tail Tuesday #2 ~ The Room of Shame

Proudly submitted for your ridicule amusement by Annie

No, I am not searching for Amelia Earhart, although Kitties, she might very well be in this "bedroom" and we would never know.
I am here to bring the shameful light of truth to yet another deviant aspect of Mosaic Lady's daily life.
She is a box hoarder. She's like one of those crazy people you see profiled on Prime Time Live, The Discovery Health Channel, or Dateline: Online Cardboard Predator.

Hey! How did my picture get on that box of Pro Plan?

When Mosaic Lady and the Colorado Furs moved to NC, there was this spare room. ML's weak excuse is that after moving three times in five years, she vowed that when she moved again, the very least she could do for herself was have all her empty boxes handy.

Because she buys all of her mosaic supplies online (and most everything else), the boxes have easily doubled in under a year. You are looking at maybe one quarter of the boxes in this room. They are nearly tumbling out the door.
No. There is no "breaking down" of boxes. That is extra work.
(Remember -- she is lazy.)

Besides being appalling and shameful, this is surely some sort of fire hazard.
Adding injury to insult, she keeps the door closed to prevent me from going in and playing. This is very rude of her. There is nothing I enjoy more than scaling the very back row to see how many towers I can tumble at once.

  2. You could haf a grate game of "find the kitty" in there! I hopes there's no mayonnaise in the box wif that label!
My beans keep some boxes, too, on a shelf in the garage AND an entire closet in the puter room.

  3. Gulp, we'z ashamed to say dat dad has lots of bokses too. Some have stuff in dem cuz he buys it on ebay, opens da boks and looks at it and den shoves it on da pile in da office...Ah, next Tuesday!

  4. Tell her to look at it this way...if she lets you topple the towers of boxes enough, they will start to break down by themselves and save her the work!

  5. Wow, that's a lot of boxes!!! My humans wouldn't have any room to move if they had that many boxes. They do have some empty boxes, but they are broken down, and stored in our storage locker downstairs.

  6. Ha ha ha ha! Oh, my. ML has a lot in common with my mommy. My mommy is a hoarder. Of anything. Plus she is lazy. She finally vacuumed the floor this weekend and "managed" to "sprain her wrist" so that she couldn't finish. I don't believe her.

  7. That is a lotta boxes! Our problem is my Mommie throws everything out. Then, when we need a box, we NEVER have one!

  8. That is ALOT of boxes! I'm thinking an intervention is in order, perhaps I can contact Dr. Phil ; )

  9. Wow! I've never seen so many boxes. I think your ML might have a problem.

I bet the reason she won't let you play in there is she's afraid she'll never find you again :-p

  10. That room looks like paradise for cats!!! I would get in there and rip all of those boxes to shreds. What fun.

Also I think your human might be slightly mental. I mean, it's not like collecting fridge magnets is it? hehehe

  12. The Male does not collect anything so much fun. It's too bad you can't have the door opened.

  13. Empty boxes $1.00 each.
Cat on empty boxes $2.00 each.
Cat in empty boxes $3.00 each.
Cat knocking over all empty boxes:
    PRICELESS!

  14. Whoa, that's a lotta boxes. Momma keeps them sometimes, but she makes them flat and shoves them away, so I don't get to play in them. You should either get to play with them or they should be gotten rid of, I think. Why else have boxes?

  15. Omigosh, Annie, that room looks familiar (what little I've been able to peek into around here)! MomBean always says, "This is a *really good box - you never know when you might need one!"

  16. Oh, ANNIE....! I am breathless at the sight of all those wonderful boxes... and stacked so high, too, ripe for the climbing! I must climb! Must! Must! Must! What a fun place to play. Can I come over and play SuperMegaBox Wars with you??? *HEE!!!*

p.s. my human, Christine, said to say a big thank you for your suggestions on where to find a mosaic table. We will let you know how we get on. It's the last big item we need to get for our seaside apartment.

  18. Annie, I don't fink you should share Mosaic Lady's age wifout purrmission. An Mom feels 50's still young cuz she's werkin wif geezers in their 60s an 70s all the time. Not in a "home" - they just nefur retire from werk! Oh, an most model railroaders is older than Mom an older than DIRT, too.

She loves to tease Dad; he's 9 monfs older than her, so he was 30 first... will be 40 first... an 50 firstest.

SADIE!!! I miss seein pictors of you!

  21. Oh my goodness. Looks like yoo need a renta husband for da day too, just like Zippy, Sadie, and Speedy's Mom. Why expend all dat enerjy when yoo can rent someone to do it for yoo?

  22. ha ha ha I can't believe you aren't left in there to play!! No fair! You need to have a talk with your mommy. The next party at your house, we should all get to play in there!

  23. My folks are like Daisy's - they never save anything cool. That room would be my idea of a perfect playground!

  24. The maid laughed her butt off! I don't see why it's funny - I see a play room that you are deprived from. Not funny!
I love the Tattle Tail Tuesday idea! I will certainly join in!
