I foster for the Siamese Cat Rescue Center in Virginia and I just came here and read your blog.

Did any of our NC volunteers contact you? If not, you can send an emailto vasrc@siameserescue.org and ask to have your email forwarded to the NC Regional Coordinators. We have a large presence in NC and someone should be close enough to help you.

Thsi cat is not safe where it is and its habitat is about to be demolished, so you have to do something. You could probably borrow a trap from your local animal shelter or SPCA. It's not hard to trap a cat; I've done it. You know not to take the cat to a public shelter, right? where's he's likely to be PTS.

I'll alsopost on the SICC site to respond to your post there.

Nancy in DCAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3255135386348070200.post-75588948366526110612007-07-17T10:18:00.000-07:002007-07-17T10:18:00.000-07:00Thank you for your wonderful comment! We've sent a bunch of emails out around here to so we'll get this kitty helped one way or the other. It's really nice to not feel alone, like that Meezer must.

And thanks, too, for the nice words and prayers for our crazy dawg. Then if you all can not find a no kill shelter we would try and find a home or at least care for it after the surgery until it can fend for itself once again if you release it back to where it came from.

Google for trap spay/neuter and release and you will find some help!

We hope the woofie does well in surgery and gets better soon and peace be on your house.

Purrs and ScritchesBad Kitty Cats & Meganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12657110018993754642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3255135386348070200.post-44915374836232388952007-07-16T23:15:00.000-07:002007-07-16T23:15:00.000-07:00Hello Willie and Bianca - nice to meet ya! Your local humane center should be able to provide you with a safe trap, and some vets will spay/neuter strays for little to no money. If you decide to have him/her in the house, you need to make sure that it is disease free so you don't get sick. I have never gone astray when I have followed my heart. I think the heart tells us what our mind wishes it could. After you trap him you kin get him to the v.e.t. to make sure he ain't got nothing bad that he'd pass to other kitties, and then maybe you could see how he does with alla youkitties or your momma could work on findin' him a wunnerful forefur home.

Best of luck, and I know that Meezer will be real glad fur the help.
