Wacky Nicknames Wednesday

Our adorable orange friend, Kellie, tagged all of us for the name meme.
How did we get our names?
Which nicknames do we like?
Which nicknames do we wish Mosaic Lady would stop calling us?

Because we all want to play and don't want to bore you to tears, most of us got our names because:
1) ML likes old-fashioned human names that end in "ie" (Willie, Sadie, Annie).
2) ML likes to name us after dead relatives (Walter, Leah, Annie).
Bianca came named. Her rescue mom is Italian and pronounces her name very differently!

Sadie Badie! (and I have a stocking from Victor that proves this!)
Badester (that is my street cred name.)
Dookster (short for Dookster Pookster Little Fookster. Zero cred anywhere name.)
ML needs to stop calling me Meatloaf.
Now.

Yanca Banca
Kitty Girl
I get nervous when she calls me: Damn Cat!! (Usually after I have peed on Leah's bed.)

Willie Billie
Mister Big Boy
I have no bad names. I am very good.
(I don't think it counts as a name when she says: God damnit, Willie -- I am not letting you out that door again only to have to get up in five seconds to let you back in!)

Annie Bananie
Nannie
Nannie Bananie
Nanners
Nanners Bananers
Those are almost tolerable, as embarrassing as they are, but I do not want to be called Tubbo.
That was Walter's nickname and even though I am Walter's Walk In... still.

Leah Beah
Herzabeah
Mostly lately she calls me:
Leah! Quiet!
F'in Dog!
I am not overly fond of those.

(This is my new buffet bar! It is a few inches too tall for me. I can only nibble at the edges of my food and can't reach the middle or bottom of my bowl. ML shipped it down to South Carolina so it could be sawed shorter for me. You did not think she was going to own a saw, based on what you know about her issues with scissors and knives??)

  1. Phew, I am so glad to hear that ML is not allowed to own a saw - she would have sawed her leg off! Actually, my Mum is pretty handy with a saw - when she was in college she took an Ikea chair and loveseat and sawed 1 arm off each, pushed them together, bolted them and made a sofa. Half way through she got worried because if it hadn't worked she would have had no furniture at all, luckily it worked out quite well.

I liked learning how you guys got your names. Your nicknames are quite tame compared to what I had anticipated : )

  6. You all have some fun and cool nicknames, and we enjoyed learning how you acquired your names. Leah, we are glad that the Mosaic Lady isn't trying to shorten your buffet herself.

  8. Wow . . . I agree with everyone. Those are a lot tamer than expected . . . especially Annie's. Poor Leah, you aren't really naughty, are you? I'm glad ML sent it off to be sawed instead of doing it herself. I don't think any of us could come to her rescue quickly enough, even though I do know where mommy keeps her keys.

  11. My mom's kinda handy wif tools - but she'd haf tried sanding it down!

I don't get it. The boy stayed home today; Dad lefted, then Mom lefted an they bof camed back, then they lefted again an just Mom camed back, then a HUGE monster wif wheels brought Dad an his monster back. Now Dad's stayin an Mom lefted. Shouldn't they ALL get a snow day when school's closed an the "truck" died?

  14. I expected something....oh, I don't know...more for Annie. Like Devil Girl or that Darn Cat or Darth Annie. Annie Bannanie? Please.

My Bean said her grandmother had a cat once. It's name was That Damned Cat because it kept climbing her curtains and shredding them.
