All praise to Kliban - Meat Loaf Monday Part 2

One of the first pieces of "cat art" ML ever bought was a framed poster of THIS in college days. Do click on!
Of course she calls me Meat Loaf in the most endearing way.
I think.

Furmi-Nation Friday

I am basking in the relaxing glow of my first Furminator session, Kitties.
Mosaic Lady took a big wad of furs off of my gorgeous coat.
I do not know why they look gray.

My furs has a flavor!

Why has it taken ML four months to Furminate me?
You get two guesses, Kitties, and the first does not count.

I will probably get a manicure next. My claws are lethal weapons at this length.
But they are good for telling ML when I would like the Furminating session to stop.

My new collar looks fabulous with my pink name tag and my shiny furs.

I hope we can take our Furminator to jail with us because ML still does not have her NC driver's license.
Maybe she is the reason my furs are already gray.

What the heck is Mosaic Dawg doing?

She is wondering how I turned myself into a small ball of furs.
She is a freak.

Yes, I am talking about you.

Tattle Tail Tuesday #6 - When Less is Less

Kitties, I know this is going to come as a staggering shock to you, but Mosaic Lady is not much for holiday decorating.
So I want to share a few of my favorite decorations that some of our (relatively) normal neighbors have put up.

Isn't this pretty, in a very understated and touching way? A neighbor put red bows all along this fence line next to the horse pastures where ML and Mosaic Dawg finish their daily walk.
See, Mosaic Lazy Lady...a little color and holiday spirit can go a long way.

This one is especially county charming. I have always loved this birdhouse and now I love it better!

This house looks SO COOL all lit up at night! It is about a mile from our house, also along the daily walk route.

The owner is really nice. One day she hollered out to ML that Mosaic Dawg was beautiful.
She might be visually impaired.
(Which would explain all the bright lights all over her lawn for 6 weeks following Thanksgiving.)

This house belongs to Susie, our favorite neighbor, who lives just at the end of our road. She has lived there since 1948!
She lost her husband of 59 years last September, and yet she still managed to turn out a festive and welcoming front porch.

Protect your sensitive eyes now, Kitties, from the awe-inspiring glare that IS
Our Holiday Decorating Extravaganza...

Can you see it? Without squinting?
That circle of tree branches tossed over the hot tub shower?

Whatthe?

The ONLY reason we have this pathetically barren wreath at all is because it was a FREE gift from our local health food store.
And they had to send ML an email to remind her to come pick it up!

Why the long snout again, Mosaic Dawg?

She is embarrassed to be seen in the same yard with our pitiful wreath.
Neither one of us is overly fond of the shower head center piece ornament motif.

Mosaic Lady claims it is contemporary, chic minimalism.

I say that it is old-fashioned, shabby LAZYism.

I get the impression that SomeKitties think I am too hard on Mosaic Lady in my Tuesday Tattle Tail posts.
Walk a mile in my paws and then you will know that I am not hard enough!
However, I will say one nice thing about her in today's Tattle:
She was nice enough to let me open one of my gifts early!
I got a new pink collar with lime green and hot pink flowers on it. I look like Goldie Hawn on Laugh In, except I'm a witty panther, not a ditsy blonde.

(Actually, this is more a gift for ML than me because it allows her to spy on me more easily when I am out in the yards.)

Meat Loaf Monorail Cat Monday

Who you calling a MEAT LOAF?

I hardly think she has room to talk.

Persons who live in mosaic houses should not throw shards.

Cat Shred Art Sunday - Or: Why We Have No Christmas Tree

It is raining outside, Kitties. I am very bored.
Before Mosaic Lady was even out of bed, I knocked one of my (and her) favorite angel magnets off of the fridge (by climbing on top of the fridge), and broke its wing.
I also enjoyed my nightly ritual of strewing bubble wrap all over the guest room floor.
Good times.

Then I decided to help ML in her studio by repositioning the fish brooches that are still drying in place on the clock.
She has no sense of placement.

I got yelled at (really LOUDLY) four times when trying to pry the metal floor register off the heating vent in the dining room.
So I went back into the studio to continue working on a very avant-garde art project of my own.

It is truly a work in progress.

Don't I remind you of Farrah Fawcett when she paints?

All the other Mosaic Cats and Dawg are sleeping quietly. Bores!
Willie was staggering in his hind legs on Friday, and acting like a super-geezer the last few months, so he went to the fur doctor for tests. He is hyperthyroid now, just like Bianca! Both of them are now on thyroid meds.
This is turning into a geriatric ward for sure.
We'd better foster some kittens after New Year's to entertain me. (Sadie, as you know, is useless to me.)

I'm off to the mud room to knock down the stacks of empty boxes destined for recycling.

Finding our tree, Friday

Thanks to Maggy and Zoey's mom for the closest thing we'll see to a real tree in our house this year.
Mosaic Lady says that someone can not be trusted around anything so climbable and breakable.
I'm sure she means Sadie.
(Do not worry. The snow in our photo is for artistic effect only!)

SATURDAY UPDATE:
FEETS of SNOW in Colorado again!
Low 70s in North Carolina for the next five days.
We heart North Carolina!
