Formerly Feral, Now Art Director, Friday

Kitties, I learned a new word: geegaw. It is a variant of gewgaw and means a showy trifle - a bauble or trinket. Some of you might call them chotzkes like I used to.
It's a very funny word that describes Mosaic Lady's new obsession - making stuff with vintage jewelry!
Of course, I act as Art Director and Creative Consultant. I wanted to show off some of my recent masterpieces.

After I choose my geegaws, I sniff the glue to be sure it is fresh.

Sometimes I over-sniff the glue.

Luckily, I'd already laid out my vision for this frame before passing out.

I keep my distance from the glue next time.

Voila! A purple mirror.
For this large photo frame, I did some quality control on the lazy susan.

I sign off on the design layout...

and then I OK the final product.

Here is this week's creation - a mirror. Do you love the periwinkle blue? Be sure to biggify any of these to see the individual geegaws.

I like this new fetish of GL's a lot because we can do it inside at any time of day with any kind of weathers.
She lets me unpack the boxes of geegaws when they come in the mail. This is a safety precaution because she still makes herself bleed every day trying to open them with scissors. And she lets me wear the necklaces.
Geegaws are way more fun to whap off the tables than china shards, and because there is no grouting, I do not get toxic dusts in my silky furs.

After my part-time job is done, I return to my full-time life's mission - yard vigilante. My air gun needs air, apparently. No one told me I needed CO2 things to power my new gun!
I wish Mosaic Geegaw Lady and Mosaic Geegaw Dawg were more helpful in the War On Tomerism.

That is some really beautiful work. Unfortunately, Geegaw Annie does not quite have the same ring as Mosaic Annie.

Mom spent some time this week sitting with one student and going very carefully over all your new work.
It's right up this girl's alley, as she is creative and artistic mostly. So we really appreciate you and think very highly of your work. :)

You are one of our favorite sites.

We are up with a cup at tea and two panadol at 3.30 in the morning becasue of the war on tomerism. Next door has two new cats which are on the PROWL, and mom's front porch light came one and woke her up. SO she had to get up and check that no one was touching her son's new WRX shiny blue car in the driveway.

Nope, just the "running out loose on the street" next door cats. Mom is ticked off as they 'donated' their old cats to the Pound... when went they went overseas a while ago to "start a new church" in Indonesia. Very charitable, mom thinks - getting rid of your pussycats while doing that. Mom can't feel the same about them anymore.

Now there are the two NEW ones. Mom hopes they are lookiong after these two. Thye sure live in our yeard and are jealous of us three living in our house.

Annie, that snoopervision suits you. I wouldn't want my UCSB getting that glue in her lovely furs. Of course, some of those geegaws would look lovely on a tabby. You an M/GL are furry talented.

I don't know anyfin bout CO2 cartridges but I hope the Tomerism shtops soon.

Hahahahah, Geegaw Annie!

Those are some very beautiful pieces. You make a great art director!

ps: I think I would enjoy sniffing some glue, too.

I love ML's creations using geegaws. I can see you play a pivotal role in production. But please, Annie, stay away from the glue. It'll kill your brain cells. You'll forget all about Tomerism and what it means to you, along with other important things.

Annie, Mom was laffin so hard while we were reading this !! :)
I think the bean that came up with geegaws sniffed some of that glue!
Speaking of glue, if you don't stay away from it ,we will have to stage an intervention for you, hahaha!!
I agree with Zoey & Maggy, Geegaw Lady does not have the same cachet as Mosaic Lady ;)
Good luck on the Tom job! Who knew an air gun needed different air ? Not me Heehee
Purrs Mickey (everyone else is laffin )

Will we have to enter you into a glue sniffing re-hab?

You and ML, errr.. I mean GGL do such nice work! I really like the geegaws, they are very pretty.

You still haven't shot Tom in the butt yet? Stay vigilant!

Those gewgaws look like they might be fun to bat around before used to make interesting things. Have you done that? Is it really fun?

Oh, Annie, your geegaw work is geeorgeous! Your job sounds very much like mine. It's very important to sit on - I mean snoopervise - a creative human's work.
