Oh my, what have we here?
Don't tell me she's found her misplaced muse?
mmmmmmmm...Fiesta has a flavor.
RED!
Sort of like pink, only richer.
Mosaic Lady might enter this in the Etsy Bitchen Kitchen Mosaic Challenge. The theme is housewares. (Kind of a jab at etsy brass who have decided to place mosaics not in art, but in housewares!)
We don't have a lot of old kitchen stuff any more. When we were packing up to leave Colorado, our Fairy Godmother ordered Mosaic Lady to put in the trash any object that had the f word in front of it, used as an adjective to describe it. For example: "f'in toaster. F'in dull knives. F'in teflon frying pan with no teflon left."
It is a good thing that our Fairy Godmother has not applied that same rule to that same favorite adjective used in front of "cat".
Or our names.
Be sure to biggify so you can see the cute bumble bee above and the hummingbird below. Their wings quiver!
The tail on the tiny turtle moves, too, which is good. It moves out of the way instead of snapping off when you set the carafe down.
Our Fairy Godmother has been trying to talk ML into using sculpey to make legs for the carafes so they don't leave moisture marks on tables (assuming you're drinking a chilled white or pink and not a red, of course.)
ML had never heard of sculpey and is pretty sure she'd be talentless at fashioning it into symmetrical legs.
While she waits for our Fairy Godmother to show us a sample (reminder reminder), do you think we should see if the carafe looks good on top of this?
You can see a few more photos of this piece and read more about the materials at ML's blog. I also want to pimp Whiskers Rescue. ML got the cute green rhinestone fly pin in the first photo from them. They are one of our favorite eBay sellers to patronize. They spay and neuter feral cats in New Jersey and care for them in their existing colonies, providing food and medical care. Please look at their eBay store and support them if you can!

That is a beautiful carafe! I definitely think the Mosaic Lady should enter it in the Etsy challenge! Mosaics are housewares? Very strange. The Etsy brass clearly don't know what they are talking about!
The carafe is very beautiful! Definitely art, not housewares. Annie is a wonderful model, and complements the pretty art very well.
Mom is going to apply da f-in rule to some stuff around here. Good luck in da Etsy challenge. We love yur mosaics. The colors and patterns are so fun.
Oh, we like that! I like whapping pretty things like that, but Momma says that that is very, very, bad, and she might need to describe me with the f word if i did that.
Sadie--that is a real dilemma you have. I think you should just agree with ML that you are the cutiest patootie in the whole world, because if it's true, it's not really bragging. It's just being honest.
Your buddy, Jimmy joe
I love this especially the turtle and his tail. We are currently looking for a 4 seater mosaic table for our new seaside apartment on the UK seaside. Don't suppose you know anywhere in the UK to get something like this? Christine
That carafe is just adorable - but you want to put it on top of my Little Me? ;-)
We don't know a lot about Sculpey either, other than it stays soft until you bake it.
That's beautiful, ML :-)
Awesome carafe. You have very beautiful cats photos too. I love your blog
I'm so impressed, that utensil crock is beautiful. It's good to see you Annie. Good-bye Smudge and Lucy.
we really like that carafe and think you should enter it on the Etsy contest ~~The FLuffy Tribe
Awesome pictures.
Awesome words.
Awesome mosaic.
Awesome art.
(housewares... ok... awesome housewares...)
Dat's furry pretty! Annie, don't you DARE knock it ofur. Sadie, I's not purrfect! Dad says I's naughty. An when I furst camed home, I'd nefur seen beans prepare food that wasn't fur kitties. An I didn't know kitties shouldn't go on the counter (at least not when beans is lookin). Dad says, "Naughty Cat" a few times per day, but it's wif a soft tone. I guess the worstest is, I love to claw fings an open cupboards. Oh, an I stepped on Dad's brownies a couple times (but once, the boy FRAMED me!)
Purrs and nosekisses, Sadie Badie! Pepi's bringin ofur some primo nip; come on ofur!
oooo pretty! I'll bet that will win. I think you are a good muse Annie. I am my mommy's muse too!
Hello to you all and say hi to Sadie when she gets back from celybrating Victor's 2nd Gotcha Day today.
That is so pretty. Love the bee, hummingbird and turtle. Mom need a Fairy Godmother - there's a lot of f'in stuff here that needs to go! Not us of course, but lots of other things that maybe someone else could use.
