Mom was working at the shelter when a bunch of katrina cats and puppies came in. Puppies born after their moms and dads were left out on the streets...kittens with mom's who were so sick from the filth in the water they were drinking they couldn't nurse. Mom wonders why any one would live below sea level knowing that nature is a force that even the most powerful human can't hold back.
Thanks for stopping by the Cats Exclusive blog. The real shelter website is wwwDOTcatsexclusiveDOTorg but it has been taken down to be revamped and updated. The blog was started as a more "fun" way to write about the daily lives of the shelter cats, and was just started about a week ago, so it's still a work in progress.
There are lots of exciting things going on at the shelter, because we are about ready to open a low cost spay and neuter clinic there!
That's really pretty, guys! We saw a picture in the paper today of a woman evacuated from New Orleans who is now in a FEMA trailer in Shreveport, putting her life back, and it showed her kissing her little kitten! Just goes to show how good we kitties are for the world. Your buddy, Jimmy Joe
That is a beautiful testamant to all the kitties that went through that horrific storm along with all the human suffering. People sometime forget how horrific it was the animals. Thank you for remembering...

I agree with everyone who says that is so beautiful. I love the waves. It is a sad reminder though. Those poor animals...Time to stop and meditate on happier times for those that suffered through Katrina.

I have missed you this week...glad you stopped over today. Please do turn off the TV....it so sensationalizes the bad things in the world right into your face! We can not do that before we have had our morning coffee and quiet time. I get snuggled up and tummy kissed then bribed to come inside...hee hee,but i do not come inside. I stay outon my patio! it will get cold before too long then I have to come inside or I will be on ice cube pussy cat! Remember, each day brings enough trouble of it's own....so do not worry too much about tomorrow...have a peaceful day today! Don't forget cat art sunday????! Love the Peach waves to Annie...are ya still there?:))
